Microsoft officially ended support for Windows 7 on January 14, 2020 and Windows 8.1 on January 10, 2023. In addition, Google officially ended support for Chrome on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 devices on January 10, 2023 as well. Due to the deprecated support from Microsoft and Google, we recommend our customers do not install a la mode products on systems that pre‑date Windows 10.

To avoid an unexpected disruption in your workflow, we recommend that Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users switch to a Windows 10 or a Windows 11 computer. Because Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 were both released over 10 years ago, it's a good idea to review your PC's hardware and compare it to our system requirements, as well as the requirements for Windows 10 or Windows 11, before upgrading your existing PC to a modern version of Windows.
Our technicians are unable to assist with the Windows upgrade process. If you need assistance, contact a local technician or visit Microsoft's support page for additional help. If you need assistance with transitioning your a la mode software after upgrading your Windows Operating System, please call us at 1‑800‑252‑6633.
Whether you're installing a modern version of Windows on your existing computer or moving to a new PC, simply use our Move TOTAL Utility to back up and transfer your data quickly and easily from the old version of Windows to the new one. The only difference is if you're installing a new version of Windows on the same computer, you'll treat the old version of Windows (Windows 7 or 8.1) as the "Old PC" and then once you've installed the new version of Windows (Windows 10 or 11) you'll treat it as the "New PC".
