Adjust Sketch Elements
To adjust an element that appears in your sketch:
In a sketch, click the Modify icon (
) to enter Modify Mode.Click an element on your sketch such as a line, symbol, or label to select it.
Once selected, you have a few options for adjusting the element:
To rotate the element, click and drag the green circle above it.
To resize a symbol, select any one of the black dots — called "handles" — that appear along the perimeter of the element and drag the "handle" to shrink or enlarge the symbol. To keep the proportions in sync, be sure to check the Constrain Proportions box in the Properties panel before resizing it, or hold the Shift key on your keyboard while adjusting the size.
You can also adjust the size of your symbol using the Properties panel on the right. Simply select the symbol from your sketch, then enter the Height and Width dimensions in the Properties panel.
To adjust the font, font size, font style, or color of a label, use the formatting options in the Properties panel on the right.
Click an area label to view area properties, or when an area is selected, use the Properties panel on the right to edit an area name, change the foreground and background colors, change area patterns, and more.
Adjust the length, base angle, color, opacity, style, and width of area lines and free‑form lines using the Properties panel on the right.
When you're finished adjusting the symbol, click a different area on the sketch canvas to apply your changes.
