Your MLS Text File template contains any settings you saved in TOTAL's MLS Text File Importer. In some cases, you may want to move it to another computer or share it with a colleague. This document helps you back up and move MLS Text File templates from one computer to another.

To complete the steps in this document, you'll need a removable storage device, such as a USB flash drive or external hard drive.

Back up MLS Text File templates

Follow the steps below to copy your MLS Text File templates to a removable storage device.

  1. Connect your removable storage device to the computer where your templates are stored.
  2. On your keyboard, press Windows Key + R to open the Run window.

  3. Type %tsa6% in the Open: field, click OK.

    %tsa6%

  4. In the Tech Support Assistant window, click the Common Paths tab at the top, locate the Data Files: path, and click the Open button to the right.

  5. In the window that appears, right‑click the ConversionTemplates folder and select Copy.
If you only wish to copy selected template files instead of copying the entire folder, open the ConversionTemplates folder, and then open the TextConverterReportConverter folder to select and copy individual files.
  6. Now, navigate to your USB flash drive, right‑click an open area and choose Paste.

Once the transfer process is complete, connect the removable storage device to your new computer and continue with the instructions below.

Move MLS Text File templates

  1. Browse to your removable device, right‑click the ConversionTemplates folder (or MLS template files) you previously transferred, and select Copy.
  2. On your keyboard, press Windows Key + R to open the Run window.

  3. Type %tsa6% in the Open: field, and click OK.

    %tsa6%

  4. In the Tech Support Assistant window, click the Common Paths tab at the top, locate the Data Files: path, and click the Open button to the right.

  5. In the window that appears, right‑click on a blank space and select Paste.
If you only copied specific files from the MLS Text File templates location, you'll need to open the ConversionTemplates folder, then the TextConverterReportConverter folder before pasting your files. If these folders don't exist, you need to create the folders before pasting.

That's it! When you open TOTAL on the new computer, your template(s) are ready to use.
