Form Customization

 
     

Just as property values and neighborhoods change from one location to the next, each appraisal office has an entirely different means of accomplishing the key tasks involved with each appraisal report. And to help you make the most of your TOTAL for Tablet PC experience, TOTAL for Tablet PC provides specific customization functions to help you group important fields, remove fields you don't use, and organize the fields on screen so that they're easy for you to see. To help you keep your customizations manageable, TOTAL for Tablet PC provides you with different layout templates you can access, create, and alter. To begin customizing your data collection screens, select or create an appropriate data layout and then customize the data screens as described here.

 

There are several different sections you can customize in TOTAL for Tablet PC:

 

From the customization screens, there are several different things you can do:

 

Any customizations you make are put into effect in TOTAL for Tablet PC's active data layout. Any fields that are part of TOTAL for Tablet PC's default installation are automatically paired with the correct fields on your major form so that you do not have to retype the data. Any custom fields that you create are not mapped to any specific field in your major form, but the data you collect is still available. Just open your report in WinTOTAL and review the Data Summary Page from your inspection in the WorkFile.

     
  Note:  If you're using TOTAL for Tablet PC with a formfilling software other than WinTOTAL, you can still access all of your field notes. Just enable the Include Data Summary Page option in TOTAL for Tablet PC's Print preferences and then print your report.
