How do I transfer a file from Aurora to TOTAL?

When you run the Aurora Transition Assistant, you're prompted to choose whether you want to move your reports to TOTAL or leave your reports in Aurora:

  • If you chose to move them to TOTAL, your reports are available in a folder titled From Aurora in the Shared Reports folder in TOTAL's Appraisal Desktop.
  • If you chose the option to leave your reports in Aurora, the Transition Assistant creates an attached directory in TOTAL's Appraisal Desktop that is connected directly to your Aurora Reports folder. Click here for step‑by‑step instructions on accessing your WinTOTAL Aurora reports in TOTAL.

How do I reduce my file size?

High‑quality images and documents added to the Workfile are the most common culprits when it comes to large file sizes. The first step is to check the size of images in your report, and then optimize the images as necessary. Click here for instructions on optimizing images.

Second, check for any unnecessary files in your report's Workfile, and remove any documents that aren't needed. Click here for instructions on using the Workfile.

If you've tried these steps, or you don't believe this to be the root of the issue, give our support team a call at 800‑211‑4514.

How do I e‑mail my report?

Delivering your report via e‑mail is as simple as clicking Tools in the menu bar (while your report is open), hovering over Share Report, then selecting whether you want to send an editable TOTAL Report via E‑mail, or a PDF Report via E‑mail. Click here for instructions on sharing TOTAL reports via e‑mail, or click here for instructions on sharing PDF reports via e‑mail.

How do I convert to an .ENV File?

The Metro‑West delivery plugin automatically converts your file to .ENV format. However, you can also save the .ENV file to your desktop. Click here for step‑by‑step instructions on creating an .ENV file and saving it to your computer.
