Credit card processing with Stripe FAQ

This document answers some of the most frequently asked questions about credit card processing with Stripe.

What is Stripe?

  • Consolidated accounts if you’re running multiple businesses that need credit card capabilities — they can all use Stripe

How long does it take before I can start processing credit cards?

Once you set up Stripe integration with Titan Office, you can begin processing credit cards immediately. However, keep in mind that the first transaction takes 7‑10 business days to clear. Once that first transaction has cleared, subsequent transactions clear within two business days.


How much does it cost to process a credit card? Is there a monthly fee?

Stripe charges 2.9% + 30¢ per successful transaction. There are no monthly fees.


How do I set up Stripe integration with Titan Office?

To set up Stripe integration with Titan Office, simply hover over Settings on the upper right, select Office Settings, and click Credit Card in the toolbar on the upper left. Then, click the Connect with Stripe button and fill out the form. Click here for step‑by‑step instructions.


How do I charge a credit card?

From the Accounting section of Titan Office, double‑click an invoice to view the invoice details. Review the fee(s) for the invoice and click Process Credit Card on the upper right. How do I review transactions?

You can review a list of recent transactions, view the details of a specific transaction, and void transactions from the Credit Card section of your Office Settings.


How do I void and refund a transaction?

To void a transaction, simply click Void to the right of a transaction in the Credit Card section of your Office settings. Click here for instructions.

If you need to issue a refund, you can refund payments from the Payments overview page of your Stripe dashboard. Click here for instructions from their website.


How long does it take for a transaction to clear before it shows up in my account?

Your first transaction takes 7‑10 business days to clear while Stripe verifies your account and processes the transaction. All subsequent transactions clear within 2 business days.


What web browsers are supported?

Currently, Titan Office can be only accessed using Google Chrome, Firefox and Microsoft Edge.


How do I disable Stripe integration?

To disable Stripe integration, you need to revoke access through your Stripe Dashboard. Log in to your Stripe Dashboard, click Settings on the left, and click Authorized applications under Team and Security in the Business Settings section. Or, click here to log in to your Stripe Dashboard and go straight to your authorized applications.


Why am I getting an error when I try to make a charge?

If you try to process a payment and there is an issue with the status of your Stripe account, Titan Office displays the following error:

This account cannot currently make live charges. If you are trying to make a purchase, please contact the owner of this site. Your transaction has not been processed.

If you receive this error or one similar to it, contact Stripe to verify the status of your account.
