Cloning an area in TOTAL Sketch is as simple as copying and pasting the area
or a portion of an area into your sketch. To clone an area in TOTAL Sketch:
- In a sketch, click the
Modify icon ( ) in the top toolbar.
- Now, select the item(s) you wish to copy.
- To select the entire area — Click a blank portion
within the interior of the area.
- To select only part of an area — Hold down the
Ctrl key on your keyboard and click each line you wish to
include in the clone. Or click a blank portion of the sketch canvas outside
of the area and drag a blue box around the items you wish to copy.
- Click the Copy icon ( ) in the top toolbar, or
simply press Ctrl+C to copy the area.
- Then, click the Paste icon ( ) in the top toolbar, or press
Ctrl+V to paste it back into your sketch.
- Move the area to the
desired location and make any adjustments or additions to the area that are
needed (such as for a second floor).
- Click the area label or use the Properties panel to edit the area definition and adjust it
accordingly.
