Trace Mode

Trace Mode creates a background image of an existing area in a sketch for you to use as a reference for tracing. In addition to serving as a visual reference, Trace Mode displays corner points and pop points to easily create additional stories, or areas such as basements that share some, but not necessarily all of the same walls.

While in Trace Mode, you can:

Use the Draw To feature to trace the area and draw individual lines from one corner point or pop point to another.
Use the Trace To feature to trace the perimeter of an existing area from point A to point B (which traces all of the lines in between those two points).
Use the standard methods of drawing area lines to trace an existing area in your sketch to create new areas.
