Download Files
Before you retrieve a file from Titan Drive for the first time, install the File Downloader Utility. If you're using TOTAL, the File Downloader Utility is included in an update. So, just make sure you have the latest TOTAL updates before you continue. Click here for instructions on getting updates in TOTAL.
If you're not using TOTAL, simply click Download in your Titan Reports Appraisal Desktop (www.titanappraisal.com) and select Install download Helper app to download and install the File Downloader Utility. Click here for step‑by‑step instructions.
Once the File Downloader Utility is installed, follow the instructions below to download one or more files:
Log in to Titan Reports via www.TitanAppraisal.com.
In the list of files that appears, click to select a single file you wish to download. Or, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and click to select multiple files.
Click Download and choose how to download the selected file(s):
Selected file(s)
Retrieves the files that are currently selected, and allows you to choose the folder in TOTAL's Appraisal Desktop or a custom location where you want to save them.
All XX files
Retrieves the entire list of files that is currently displayed in Titan Drive.
Next, a .TAD file is downloaded. When it's finished, Open or Run the file. If you're not sure how to do this, choose your browser from the tabs below:
Google Chrome
If you're prompted to save the file, choose a location such as your Windows Desktop, and click Save.
When it finishes downloading, click the file on the bottom left of the browser window to open it. Or, press Ctrl + J on your keyboard and click the file name with the .TAD file extension (usually a long string of numbers that ends with .TAD).
Microsoft Edge
After you choose your Download option, simply click Open File. Depending on your security settings, you may need to click Keep Anyway before opening the file.
Mozilla Firefox
After you choose your Download option, simply click on the file in the upper right.
In the window that appears, you're prompted to choose the location where you want to save your report(s):
To save the file(s) in TOTAL, simply choose one of the folders displayed in the TOTAL tab.
To save your selected file(s) to a custom location, such as the Files folder in WinTOTAL Aurora, click the Other tab on the upper left. Then, browse to the location where you want to save the report(s).
If you're saving the file(s) to your WinTOTAL Files folder, the default location is C:\a la mode\WinTOTAL\FILES. Select a folder inside of the Files folder to access the file(s) inside WinTOTAL's Appraisal Desktop. For example, select the Requests.FLD folder if you want the report(s) to show up in the New Requests folder.
Once you've selected the folder where you want to save the report(s), click Save.
That's it! Once the files finish downloading, they're immediately available in your TOTAL Appraisal Desktop, or the custom location you selected.
