How to run a Windows 10 or Windows 11 System File Scan
Close out of any open programs, and press Windows Key + R on your keyboard.
In the Open: field type
cmd, and then press Ctrl + Shift + Enter on your keyboard. This launches the command prompt as an administrator.
In the command prompt window, type
sfc /scannowand press Enter to initiate the System File Scan and repair any damaged system files.
Once the scan is complete, restart your computer.
