Issue Description
If CryptoPrevent is installed, attempting to insert a PDF file causes TOTAL to hang.
Instructions
To resolve this issue, manually configure CryptoPrevent's settings.
To manually configure CryptoPrevent:
Open CryptoPrevent and click OK on the first screen.
Click Advanced on the top toolbar, then select Software Restriction Policy Editor.
Select Blacklist Policies in the options above.
In the Search: field, type PDF.
Click De-Blacklist Selected.
Select Whitelist Policies in the options above.
You need to whitelist three (3) separate files. For each of the files below, click Browse for File, locate and select the file, then click the Add to Whitelist button:
C:\Program Files (x86)\a la mode\TOTAL\bin\alamode.common.pdfconverter.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\a la mode\TOTAL\bin\alamode.wintotal.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\a la mode\TOTAL\wintotal.exe
Your file path may not include (x86) depending on your version of Windows.
Once all three files have been added, close CryptoConverter. A message appears which states Refreshing Group Policy.
When this is complete, reboot your computer.
