In rare circumstances, opening an Aurora report in TOTAL, via the Aurora attached directory, can generate an error message if the report is locked open in Aurora. Here's how you remove the file lock from the Aurora report, and open the file in TOTAL.
Instructions
Before following the instructions below, verify that the file isn't simply already open in Aurora. If it is, save and close the report, and attempt to open it in TOTAL again. If it isn't, continue with the steps below:
On your keyboard, press
Windows Key+R.Once the Run prompt opens, type
tsainto the Open: dialog and click OK.When the Tech Support Assistant opens, select WinTOTAL Utilities and click Next. The Launch Utilities screen displays.
Now, double-click 5. Scan for Open Report in the column on the right.
A Close Open Reports window appears, displaying the first open report that the utility found. Review the information given, and if it's the report you're attempting to open in TOTAL, click Yes to close the report. Otherwise, click No.
Finally, click Finished to exit the Tech Support Assistant.
That's it! After "force closing" the report using Aurora's Tech Support Assistant, you're able to open the report in TOTAL with no issues.
