Issue Description

Top To Bottom and Left To Right gradients used for areas in TOTAL Sketch are not displayed correctly when printing to PDF from TOTAL. Any gradient other than an Upwards Diagonal or Downwards Diagonal gradient is printed as a blank, white area when printed to PDF.

Instructions

To correct this issue, set your area gradients to Upwards Diagonal or Downwards Diagonal:

  1. Go to the Sketch PowerView and click Edit Sketch.

    Edit Sketch
  2. In TOTAL Sketch, click Modify in the toolbar at the top.

    Modify Mode
  3. Single-click the area that is using a Top To Bottom or Left To Right gradient to select it.

    Select Area

The line colors for exterior walls change to green and blue to indicate when an area has been selected.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the Properties Panel on the right.

    Properties Panel
  5. Click the Gradient drop‑down menu, and select Upwards Diagonal or Downwards Diagonal as the gradient type.

    Select Gradient
  6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 for any remaining areas that are using a Top To Bottom or Left To Right gradient. When you're finished, save and close your sketch to transfer the changes back to your report.

Now, print your report to PDF again. Once you have changed the area gradients in your sketch to use an upwards or downwards diagonal gradient, they print correctly when printing to PDF from TOTAL.
