I have additional questions about installing TOTAL. Where can I find more information?

For more information about the installation and setup process, click here. This covers server and workstation setups, transferring your software to a new machine, upgrading from WinTOTAL Aurora to TOTAL, and more.

Does TOTAL include a comps database?

Yes. TOTAL has a Comps Database that includes a new IQ (Intelligent Query) Search, integrates comps from various data sources all in one place, and can virtually replace your MLS as a reliable source of comp information if filled with an ample supply of comp data. Additionally, our SmartAddress feature makes it easier than ever to find the comps you need, and to see how you've previously used them. Click here for more information about TOTAL's comps database.

How will I use delivery plugins with TOTAL?

You'll need to make sure you've installed TOTAL Connect. That way, you can track, manage, and deliver all of your TOTAL Connect Pro plugin assignments in one spot. Click here for help with delivering through a specific plugin.

Click here to install TOTAL Connect from the TOTAL Connect User's Guide, and to view more information.

Will TOTAL integrate with my non‑a la mode products?

Yes. You can choose from an array of third‑party apps and services, like mobile data gathering, sketchers, analytics and stats tools, as well as appraiser-built spreadsheets and docs. There's more on the way, too. It's all seamlessly integrated with TOTAL.

However, the TOTAL Store is much more than a fancy shopping cart. Vendors in the store are using our TOTAL API (short for "Application Programming Interface", a technical term for the way that two separate programs can talk to each other), which opens up the formfilling architecture for better integration than ever thought possible. It's seamless and controlled, so you know anyone in the store integrates properly and securely with TOTAL. Best of all, these products are easy to access from within your formfiller using the TOTAL Dashboard.

Learn more about our TOTAL Store and the TOTAL API here and visit the TOTAL Store here.

Can I use Apex or another third‑party sketcher with TOTAL?

Apex v5 and v6, PhoenixSketch, and RapidSketch are integrated with TOTAL via the new TOTAL Store using our TOTAL API. Simply get our TOTAL Sketch Pro License (sold separately) and then use whichever integrated sketcher you'd like seamlessly within TOTAL.

As always, TOTAL Sketch is free and built into TOTAL. If you'd like to see other sketchers or even different versions of sketchers integrated, please let your sketch vendor know. Our TOTAL API is open, so Merchants are free to integrate products of their choosing. We don't make those decisions. For instance, Apex has decided to only integrate with v5 and v6 at this time.

Do I need a TOTAL Sketch Pro License?

If you would like to use one of our integrated third-party sketchers (i.e. Apex 5, RapidSketch, or PhoenixSketch), you'll need to purchase a TOTAL Sketch Pro License. Our annual TOTAL Sketch Pro License will cover all of your integrations — whether you're using one sketcher, two, three, or more in the future. Or, as always, TOTAL Sketch is free, and is built into TOTAL. The TOTAL Sketch Pro License is an optional add on and is not required. To learn more about TOTAL Sketch Pro, click here, or click here to purchase a license from the TOTAL Store.

There has always been a license fee for third-party sketcher integration via our VIP (Vendor Integration Platform) program. It covers the cost of labor and development to make integrations possible. In most cases, the vendor collected the integration fee. That was true of our previous WinTOTAL Aurora integrations with third‑party vendors that were available in WinTOTAL's Marketplace PowerView. Going forward, a la mode will collect the integration fee from you.

Does TOTAL for Mobile work with TOTAL?

Yes. Available for the iPad®, iPhone®, and Android™ phones and tablets, TOTAL for Mobile cuts an entire step out of your workflow process. You never have to manually type your inspection data into the form or redraw your sketch on the desktop. You get all the formfilling and sketching done in the field so you can focus on valuation.

I'm an Elite customer. What all is included with TOTAL?

Elite is our most comprehensive bundle, and with that you get TOTAL, a TOTAL Sketch Pro integration license, and all of the other business-boosting benefits of the Elite System that you've always enjoyed. However, it's good to remember that while Elite is by far our most comprehensive bundle, it doesn't include all of our products and services.
