Appraisals are now commonly being completed in a format defined by the Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD.) Unless you're familiar with UAD, this can make certain fields difficult to understand. If you're error checking an appraisal, there are many abbreviations, number formats, and other standardizations to keep in mind.
