Create Sketches

TOTAL Sketch operates in two modes: Draw Mode and Modify Mode. Each mode is intended to serve different functions based on the state of the sketch. To draw a new sketch, or add areas and walls to an existing one, use Draw Mode. If you already have a sketch and need to alter it, use Modify Mode. To create a sketch and begin drawing:

1. In a sketch, click the arrow beside the Draw button in the toolbar.

   

2. From the menu that appears, click the item you wish to draw on your sketch. Items include:
   • Area Lines
   • Free‑form Lines
   • Rectangles, Circles, Octagons, and Pentagons
3. Now, draw your sketch as usual and remember to save your file when you're finished.
