Configure Settings Backup

If you're using TOTAL, there's a quicker way to configure Titan Drive and adjust your backup settings. Click here for instructions on configuring Titan Drive through TOTAL's configuration settings.

If you use TOTAL or WinTOTAL to create your appraisal reports, use Titan Drive to preserve your entire WinTOTAL or TOTAL environment. Once you configure Titan Drive to back up your preferences, your digital signatures, QuickLists, and other important settings are safe in the event of a crash, or if you need to move to another computer.

To configure Titan Drive to back up your settings:

  1. Press the Windows key (  ) on your keyboard, type Configure Exact into the Start screen, and press Enter.
  2. On the screen that appears, click the Next button to begin the configuration process.
  3. Choose your Internet connection and click Next to continue.
  4. The next screen prompts you for your Username and Password. This information should automatically be pulled from the file backup utility. Enter or adjust the login information as needed and click Next to continue.
  5. Next, choose the software package you're using. You can choose both boxes if you are using both TOTAL and WinTOTAL. Click Next to continue.
  6. Select the Yes option to automatically upload your configuration settings and click Next.
  7. Choose between the Daily, Weekly, or Monthly options to control how often Titan Drive uploads your preferences. Then, choose a time in the field provided (if necessary), and click Next to continue.

    You don't have to upload at night. The settings backup utility works in the background and can be running while you work on other things. But, if you just can't decide on a time, click Get Time to query our servers for the best time to upload your preferences, based on the current system load. You must ensure that your PC is on and connected to the Internet at the scheduled time in order for the utility to upload your preferences.
  8. Titan Drive then begins its initial backup of your preferences. Once it's done, click Continue to upload your preferences immediately and click Finish when it's done. If you want to wait until the next scheduled backup to upload your preferences, just click Finish.

That's it! You've configured your Titan Drive tools to upload your TOTAL and/or WinTOTAL configuration settings to our secure servers. The files are still on your computer, but they're also safely backed up on our servers.
