UAD 3.6 E&O

TOTAL automatically runs an E&O compliance check when you attempt to sign your report and alerts you if the report will not pass XML validation in its current state.

You can also run the E&O check at any time to check warnings and verify corrections as you develop your report.

To manually run an E&O compliance check:

  1. Click the E&O tab to the right of the PowerView tabs at the top of your report to begin the compliance check. when it's finished, the E&O Messages pane is displayed on the lower right below the UAD Guidance pane.

  2. Warning totals are displayed at the top of the pane. Use the Rules dropdown to view All Warnings or UAD Warnings.

  3. Click a rule’s linked text to jump to that field in the report. A yellow icon indicates a warning; a red icon indicates a hard stop.

  4. Click the X to the right of a rule to temporarily remove it from the list. Hidden warnings are restored when you click the reload icon.

  5. Revise and update your report to correct any warnings as needed. Then, click the reload icon to run the compliance check again.

  6. When you're finished, or when you want to close the E&O pane, simply click the Report tab at the top of the report to return to the Report PowerView.

Schema Validation Error

When running E&O, if you receive the message:

“There was an error processing the E&O results due to a schema validation issue.”

this typically means that one or more required data elements are missing from the report.

What to Do:

  1. Do not export a ZIP file from a report that has a schema error to send to your customer. It will most certainly be sent back for a revision.

  2. Review the report section by section and look for any fields outlined in red. If you find any, navigate to those fields and enter the appropriate values. Then run the E&O function again.

  3. If no fields are outlined in red, as an extra precaution, go through each section of the report and click into each field. This helps ensure that the Real Time Valuation engine is triggered and all required data is refreshed.

Our goal is for you never to encounter schema errors in your reports. However, while our team continues working toward that goal, additional assistance may occasionally be required.

Contacting Support

If the issue persists, please contact Support using the Submit a Support Request option under the Help menu. When submitting your request, be sure to attach the ZAP file associated with the report that contains the schema error so our team can review it internally.
