When you first launch the Map Wizard, we automatically geocode the properties in your report. The success of that geocoding is indicated by a green, yellow, or red icon beside each property.

If the status icon is green, then the address has been geocoded properly and no further action is required.

If you receive a yellow status icon, the address was unable to be properly geocoded. Typically, this means that the address is in a new development or in a rural area, but there are many different reasons for the address to have a yellow status icon.

If you get a yellow status icon, the map bubble is placed as close to the center of the ZIP code as possible. To ensure the bubble is placed correctly on your map, simply place the property balloon on the map manually — click here for instructions on how to do this.

If the status icon is red, the address was unable to be geocoded. This should be very rare to receive, but if it does happen, double check your address and enter any missing or incorrect information.

If the status icon is gray, TOTAL was unable to connect to our geocoding servers. Please check your internet connection and try again.

If problems persist, you may need to configure your firewall to allow TOTAL access to our servers. Click here for assistance configuring your firewall.
