Installation

In order to take full advantage of Vault’s powerful backup tools, we provide an upload application to automate the process. This tool installs the necessary components for you to access your appraisal files using Windows Explorer. This tool also controls our Vault application that saves your WinTOTAL preferences and customizations.

It is important that you install Vault locally on the computer where your files and databases are stored. If you are running WinTOTAL or TOTAL in a networked environment, install Vault on the server computer to ensure that all of your data is backed up correctly. Any deviation from this is done at your own risk and is not supported.

To install Vault:

1. Click here to log in to the My Downloads section of you account using your a la mode username and password.
2. Look for the Vault entry in your list of Products and click Download.

   

3. Run the installation file after you download it.  If you're not sure how to do this, choose your web browser from the tabs below: 
   • Google 
     Chrome
   • Internet 
     Explorer
   • Microsoft 
     Edge
   • Mozilla 
     Firefox

   1. After you click the Download button, choose a location to save the file (such as your Windows Desktop), and click Save.
   2. Then, press Ctrl + J on your keyboard and click vaultsetup.exe.

      

      

   Now simply follow the instructions in the installation wizard to complete the install.

   After you click the Download button, simply click Run.

   

   Then, follow the instructions in the installation wizard to complete the install.

   1. After you click the Download button, click Save.

      

   2. Then, click Run.

      

   Now simply follow the instructions in the installation wizard to complete the install.

   1. After you click the Download button, click Save File when prompted.

      

   2. Then, press Ctrl + J on your keyboard and double-click vaultsetup.exe.

      

      

   3. Click OK when the Open Executable File window appears.

      

   Now simply follow the instructions in the installation wizard to complete the install.

4. Follow the instructions in the installation wizard to complete the install.
