Draw free‑form lines

Free‑form lines are a nice finishing touch that can be added to a sketch to round it out. Follow the instructions below to draw free‑form lines in TOTAL for Mobile.

Free‑form lines are for visual representation only and do not affect calculations in the sketch. To draw a new area or cut an area out of an existing area, use area lines instead
  1. In a sketch, tap the Place Cursor icon (  ) to enter Place Cursor Mode and tap the location on your sketch canvas to place your cursor where the free‑form line begins. If you're using an iPhone or a similar device with a smaller screen, press the mode icon on your sketch keyboard to switch to Place Cursor mode.
  2. Once you've placed your cursor, tap the Free‑form line icon (  ). If you're using an iPhone or a similar device with a smaller screen, press the mode icon on your sketch keyboard to select Free‑form Line.
  3. Use the Sketch Keyboard to enter the length of the line and swipe your finger, or press an arrow key to indicate the direction of the line.
  4. If you're satisfied with the line, tap the sketch canvas again or press the Enter key to anchor the end point of the line. If you make a mistake, remove the line by switching to Modify mode (  ), selecting the wall, and pressing the delete key on your keyboard. Or, simply press the undo key to revert any changes.
  5. If another free‑form line is adjacent to the one you just drew, repeat steps 3 and 4 to continue drawing free‑form lines. If you need to draw another free‑form line in a different location on the sketch, repeat the steps above beginning with step 1.
