Custom Critical Fields

 
     

These are items that most typically need to be gathered/verified while on site. When editing data in the form, you have the option to switch between: All Fields, Critical Fields, and Empty Critical Fields. This feature was designed to keep you from forgetting to note important items and save a return trip back out to the property. WinTOTAL even lets you customize the list of fields that you consider “critical” for any given form.  To edit the Pocket TOTAL Critical fields editor…

Editing Critical Fields in Athena

  1. Go to the Appraisal Desktop Solutions Center. Then go to Support Tools and select Run WinTOTAL Utilities.
  2. Double-click item 16. Pocket TOTAL Critical Fields Editor in the list on the right.
  3. Click Open, and the Select Form screen should open.
  4. Highlight the Pocket TOTAL form for which you wish to edit the Critical Fields list, and click Open.
  5. Check each of the fields you want to use as Pocket TOTAL Critical Fields and click Save when finished to confirm your changes.

Other Tips for Editing Critical Fields in Athena

In order for the changes to take effect, you must synchronize your Pocket PC with your WinTOTAL PC. This is described in Synchronize Files.

Editing Critical Fields in Aurora

  1. Open the Appraisal Desktop and click Pocket in the toolbar at the top of the screen.
  2. Click Critical Fields Editor in the Configure Pocket TOTAL section.
  3. Click File, Open from the menus and then double-click the form you wish to edit.
  4. When the Pocket form opens, use the Sections pane on the right to navigate to a form section you wish to edit.  Then, click each field you wish to mark or unmark as critical.  A field that has been marked as critical has a green coloration.  Regular fields have a light blue coloration.

  5. Continue updating critical fields until you are satisfied with your changes.  Then, click File, Save to confirm your changes.
  6. When you are satisfied with the list, click the Save button. If you are on a network, all users will have their own settings.
