Changing default area label placement in TOTAL Sketch
This document explains how to change your settings so that TOTAL Sketch places area labels on your sketch as you draw.

By default, TOTAL Sketch doesn't automatically add area labels to your sketch when you close and define an area. You can change this setting, though. Choose one of the panels below to learn how.
Follow the instructions below to change the default settings for every sketch you create.
That's it! Your area labels now appear automatically when you close and define an area.
Follow the instructions below to change how area labels are displayed for specific area types.
That's it! Each new area you draw will match the settings you just chose. These settings persist even after you close TOTAL Sketch.
If you chose to un-check Show area name and calculations, this also turns off any default area types you set up.
