September 24, 2014 Update

This document details the complete list of updates and changes made to TOTAL released with the September 24, 2014 update.

A new update will be ready for you tomorrow. To download this new update, plus any prior updates you may have missed, just click Help (with TOTAL open), and then click Check for Updates.

This update adds the new Info Pane to your Appraisal Desktop. Use it to preview the report, add or delete Workfile items, manage the order form and invoice, manage your To-Do lists, and review report history — all without opening the report. And, it detaches from the Appraisal Desktop so you can drag it to a different monitor for multi-tasking. For example, it's perfect when you're working on an assignment and your client calls about a report you submitted last week. Simply use the Info Pane on your second monitor to answer questions about that report without closing your current file.

Here's a rundown of the Info Pane's handy features:

  • Details tab:  See information like address, opinion of value, and effective date.

  • To-Do tab:  See and edit the report's To-Do List.

  • Invoice tab:  Preview, edit, and print an invoice without opening the report. You can even add an invoice from here.

  • Order tab:  Preview, edit, and print your order form without opening the report.

  • Workfile tab:  Quick access to your report's Spectrum Digital Workfile to add and delete files (e.g. PDFs, unused photos, fields notes, etc.)

  • History tab:  Shows the entire report's history — delivery, adding or removing forms, signing, sending invoice, and more. You'll also see who completed each task and when.

  • Preview tab:  View the entire report.

Of course we've also added a host of stability improvements with this update. Most notably:

  • We corrected an issue where F2 wouldn't push blank data across the grid if the field had previously had data that was deleted.
  • You can now create MISMO 2.6 Errata XML for the VA Portal from four forms: 1004C, 2090, 2095, and 1025.

TOTAL — September 23, 2014 Update

Appraisal Desktop

  • Introducing the new Info Pane to the Appraisal Desktop. Use it to preview the report, add or delete Workfile items, manage the order form and invoice, manage your To-Do lists, and review report history — all without opening the report. And, it detaches from the Appraisal Desktop so you can drag it to a second monitor for multi-tasking.
  • We fixed an issue in the Appraisal Desktop that could cause errors when an invalid report file is present in the report list.
  • The Appraised Value column in the Appraisal Desktop now displays whole dollar values.

Report delivery

  • You can now create MISMO 2.6 Errata XML for the VA Portal from four forms: 1004C, 2090, 2095, and 1025.

Data integration

  • We resolved a rare issue that could cause TOTAL to close unexpectedly when downloading a report from the TOTAL for Mobile Sync Cloud.
  • TOTAL Store vendor files that contain addenda with images now merge into a report.
  • TOTAL Store files with multiple additional photos now import with the photos in the correct order.

Sketch PowerView

  • TOTAL Sketch will now attempt to convert sketches drawn in Apex regardless of whether the user has a TOTAL Sketch Pro license.
  • TOTAL Sketch will now automatically load a saved copy of the sketch after an unexpected program close.

E&O

  • An E&O warning will no longer be generated when the Proximity to Subject for a Comp is "0.00 miles".
  • We fixed an issue that could cause an invalid warning to be shown because Detailed View Adjustment fields are being included in valuation calculations.

Forms Engine

  • The font for Value Adjustment setting will now display in an appropriate size in the grids of the AI Summary Appraisal Report-Land and Zions Bank Restricted Use forms.
  • The year-to-age conversion is now calculated properly in the Condominium Housing section of Condo Forms and the 2-4 Unit Housing section of the 2-4 Unit forms.
  • We resolved an issue that prevented pushing blank data using the F2 key if the field previously contained data that had been deleted.
  • Cursor navigation speed has been improved in the Side‑by‑Side PowerView in reports that contain many links to the Worksheet.

General

  • We fixed an issue related to importing comparables that have been synced from TOTAL for Mobile using the Old Reports options in the Side‑by‑Side PowerView.
  • Clicking Apply after removing a form in Contents will no longer display an error message.
  • Configuring TOTAL's default photo forms to Minimal no longer prevents reports from being opened.

Photos PowerView

  • QuickPix Database search results and most recently imported QuickPix photos will not clear when a different photo page or photo slot is selected to prevent refreshing the entire photo list.

Assignment PowerView

  • Print Assignment now defaults to print to Printer instead of PDF.
  • Print Assignment now includes the option to print the invoice as well.

SafeStart

  • We fixed an issue that in some rare cases could cause TOTAL to open slowly on computers that have or have had WinTOTAL installed.

Timeline

  • If a report fails to recover after an unexpected program close, Timeline will attempt to recover from a previous Timeline backup.
  • Going back to a previous version of a report using Timeline will preserve information on additional comparables and comparables photo pages.

Worksheet PowerView

  • We resolved a rare issue that could cause some form fields to not refresh when the value in the Worksheet was changed while in the Side‑by‑Side PowerView.
  • Linked cells in the Worksheet will now shift down or to the right when multiple rows or columns are inserted.
  • Worksheet data linked to forms not present in a report now transfers when the form is added to the report.
  • We corrected an issue that could cause TOTAL to “hang” for a few seconds when moving Comps that contain links to the Worksheet.

Mobile Sync

  • We resolved an issue that could cause data from fields in the Subject column of the Sales Comparison Approach section to not sync to the desktop if an Additional Comparables form is included in the report.

Forms Specific

  • New Form: Pro Teck Desktop Quantitative Appraisal.
