Troubleshooting Problems with Data Transfers & Calculations
If you're having trouble with fields on your report in WinTOTAL - for instance, they keep going blank after you type data or calculations are wrong - this doc will help resolve the issue.

There are several possible solutions to this problem depending upon the symptoms you are experiencing. Here are the most common solutions.
This problem usually occurs when you type custom data into a field that's designed to transfer in data from somewhere else in your report. Before following the steps below, be sure that you're not dealing with a field that calculates based off of a dynamic field elsewhere in the form. For example, in Form 1025, a menu appears when you enter the Units for the comparables. If you do not fill out this menu completely, other areas of the form will not calculate correctly. In some cases it may not calculate at all.
If you're not dealing with a dynamic field for related information and calculations, you simply need to recalculate the form or lock the field. To resolve the problem:
This process uses field locking so you may notice that the field is now dark green. This is normal for locked fields. If you need to unlock a field at any time, click the field and then click the lock icon again or hit the Ctrl + L keys on your keyboard.
This problem occurs when old data gets stuck in WinTOTAL's memory. To quickly clear out WinTOTAL's calculation memory and recalculate the value for your field:
This problem occurs when read-only attributes are applied to a field. To remove the read only attributes from the field:
Sometimes, swapping the major form in a report can alleviate some of the issues with editing a form. For instance, if you're using a URAR, you can go to your report's contents and swap in a new URAR form. This transfers all of the data from the original form into the new form.
DO NOT click the form listed in the field on the RIGHT. That will remove the form and its data from your report.
If you still experience problems at this point, you may need to contact our support department. In some cases, the data or calculations you think should be calculated automatically are not designed to do so.
