On rare occasion, the database that WinTOTAL Aurora uses to store recent responses can experience errors. Usually this is indicated with one of the following error codes:

  • Runtime Error (RTE) 3024
  • RTE 3050
  • RTE 3163
  • RTE 3790

In some cases, these errors are accompanied by a message about the "Microsoft Jet database."

Fortunately, there's a simple fix for this database error. Here's what to do:

  1. Close WinTOTAL.
  2. From your desktop, press Windows key + R.

  3. Type tsa in the Open: field of the Run window, and then click OK.

  4. Select WinTOTAL Utilities from the list displayed, then click Next.

  5. In the left column, scroll to 17. Repair Access databases — recent responses, and then double‑click it.

  6. Click OK in the dialog that appears. Check the Recent Database box, then click Repair Now.

  7. If prompted to select a user, choose your user name from the list and click OK.

That's it!  After the database is repaired, click OK in the confirmation window, and then exit the Tech Support Assistant. Start WinTOTAL, and the error no longer occurs.
