We offer a backup solution designed exclusively for appraisers:  Titan Drive. Your files and settings can be stored securely on the web, and even shared like a virtual hard drive. For more information about Titan Drive, click here.

In order to successfully copy your WinTOTAL files, you need a USB drive (a.k.a. "flash" or "thumb" drive), a network drive, or some other type of external storage device large enough to accommodate your report files. With this device plugged in to your PC, follow the steps below:

  1. Open WinTOTAL's Appraisal Desktop.
  2. Now, right-click anywhere in the directory list and choose Attach Directory.
  3. When the Attach Directory window appears, mark the option for This computer only unless you're using a networked version of WinTOTAL where all users will need access to the drive you're attaching.
  4. Click Browse and browse to the directory, network drive, or USB drive you wish to use in WinTOTAL. When you find it, click it and click OK.
  5. Click OK again in the Attach Directory window.
  6. Type a name for the new folder in your File Cabinet in the window that appears and click OK when you're finished.

Your USB, network, or other external drive now appears in the folder list. You can now move report files to and from your device, directly from WinTOTAL's File Cabinet.
