Inline Editor

To edit the content on your Mobile-Friendly homepage, the Inline Editor is used. The Inline Editor is WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) text editor that allows you to edit content and adjust the formatting for your homepage without needing to know complicated web coding. The Inline Editor is available specifically with mobile‑friendly themes to keep the design of your homepage consistent and user friendly across all devices — desktop, tablet, and even smartphone browsers. Just like a word processor, you can adjust text size and color, format your page layout, and insert images and tables directly in your homepage.

To open your homepage in the Content Editor and use the Inline Editor:

1. Log in to your XSite and click XSite in the main toolbar.

   

2. When the XSite Wizard loads, click the My Content button in the Content pane on the left.

   

3. In the list of pages that appear on the right, click on your homepage name to open it in the Content Editor.

   

4. Scroll to the Page Content section to use the Inline Editor.

   

5. When you're finished, scroll to the bottom of the Content Editor and click Save and Close.

Here are some items to keep in mind as you edit your content:

• At any time, you can revert to the pre‑written content supplied with your XSite by clicking the Revert button.
• To start from a clean slate, click the Blank Page button.
• You can hover your mouse over any tool in the editor for a description of its function. Below is a brief description of the styling tools available in the Inline Editor toolbar.

Text Formatting

The text formatting section of the editor give you the same basic formatting options a word processor does. Options for text styling include:

• — Bold
• — Italic
• — Underline
• — Strikethrough
• — Font Family
• — Font Size
• — Colors

Page Formatting

The page formatting portion of the editor includes standard functions that are available in most word processors. Options include:

• — Paragraph Style
• — Paragraph Format
• — Align
• — Ordered List
• — Unordered List
• — Increase & Decrease Indent

Additional Tools

The additional tools section of the editor provides you with extras to enhance the content on your homepage. Additional options include:

• — Undo & Redo
• — Clear Format
• — Insert Link ‑ This can be done using a link to another page in your website, or to an external webpage.
• — Insert Image ‑ You can insert images using an external web source link, or by browsing for files on your machine.
• — Insert Table ‑ Tables can be inserted with the number of columns and rows you prefer, up to 10 columns by 10 rows.

Adjusting Links

To edit a link on your homepage, clicking the link to access option to adjust the URL and text displayed (  ), as well as options to change the link color (  ).

Formatting Images

To adjust an image on your homepage, click the image to access additional options. Adjustment options for your image include:

• — Replace
• — Paragraph Format
• — Align
• — Insert Link
• — Display ‑ Choose Inline or Break Text for displaying your image alongside the webpage content.
• — Style ‑ Choose rounded edges or a border for your image with this option.
• — Alternate Text ‑ Add alternative text to be displayed if the customer's device can't display the image.
• — Change Size ‑ Adjust image size by height and width with this option.

You can also adjust the image's size by clicking on the image, then clicking and dragging the corners to expand or shrink the image size.
