TOTAL for Tablet PC provides several ways you can draw or adjust the angles
in your sketch. To draw an angle with the keyboard and mouse:
- In a sketch, click the down arrow beside the
Draw button in the toolbar or choose the
Draw panel at the right side of the screen and select either
Exterior or Interior Walls.
- Click your sketch to place a starting point for your new line and begin
drawing.
- When you're ready to draw an angled line you have two options:
- Draw the length and angle - Type the length (in your
preferred units of measure) of the line, tap L or
R on the keyboard to indicate that you want the line to
turn left or right respectively, and type the angle (in degrees) that you
want to turn. Then, hit Enter to draw and set the angled
line. For instance, if you're drawing in feet, you can type
10r47 to draw a 10 ft line at a 47 degree right turn.
- Draw the rise and run - Type the length of the rise of
the line and tap the directional arrow on your keyboard to move the line in
the correct direction. Then, enter the run of the line and again tap the
directional arrow of the keyboard to indicate the direction of the line. If
you need to adjust the line use the directional arrows on the keyboard to
fine tune the line lengths and angles. When you're ready to place the line,
hit Enter to set it. For example, to draw a line with a
rise of 10 down and a run of 15 right, you'd type 10,
down, 15, right,
Enter where down and
right are taps on the directional arrows of your keyboard.
