If you use Calyx Point to manage your loan applications, XSites Desktop's loan management tools take interaction with your XSite one step further. In addition to the manual tools provided for updating loan status and moving files back and forth from Calyx to your XSite, XSites Desktop automates that process. Just refresh your loan folder in Calyx when a new loan app appears on your XSite and it will show up in Calyx. And setting status is as easy as changing it in Calyx. Here's how to set up the integration.

If you use Calyx Point to manage your loan applications, you can use Calyx's built-in status tools to update your XSite loan file's status and/or send your client an update notice.

Note: Currently, XSites Desktop only supports automatic status updates in Calyx for loan files that you export from your XSite into Calyx. Any loan files you start in Calyx and import into your XSite will still require you to manually update the status through XSites Desktop. | ||
To enable automatic status updates through Calyx's own status list...
- From XSites Desktop's loan management
tools, click the status icon
and select Configure
out of the menu that appears.
- In the automatic status screen, check the box to Enable Automatic
Status Updating.
- Click Browse and navigate out to your Calyx point Borrower or Prospects file folder. For a default Calyx install these folders are C:\PNTDATA\BORROWER and C:\PNTDATA\PROSPECT respectively.
- Mark the Once a day or Immediately whenever status changes check boxes to indicate when or if you wish to send status updates to your client when the status changes in Calyx.
- Finally, click Save to apply your changes.
Once you've saved your automatic status notice configuration, status updates will automatically flow up from Calyx Point to your Mortgage XSite. Keep in mind that since Calyx Point uses its own set of status points. Due to that, whenever you set status on a file in Calyx Point to update status on your Mortgage XSite, any existing status items are eliminated in that loan file in favor of the statuses in Calyx Point.

Note: At this time, there is no way to send updates that you make in your XSite down into Calyx Point. | ||
Automatically Exporting Loan Apps |

While you're always free to manually export a new loan file from your XSite to Calyx, XSites Desktop provides a simple solution you can use to immediately send new loan files from your XSite into Calyx Point without any import or export work on your part. To automatically export loan files from XSites Desktop to Calyx Point...
- From XSites Desktop's loan management
tools, click the loan file icon
and then click
Configure.
- In the screen that appears, check the box to Enable Automatic Export for completed applications.
- Then, click Browse and navigate out to your Calyx Point borrower or prospect file folder. For default Calyx Point installations, these folders are C:\PNTDATA\BORROWER and C:\PNTDATA\PROSPECT respectively.
- From the drop-down menu choose a frequency with which you want XSites Desktop to check your XSite for new loan files.
- Finally, indicate whether you want to treat the new loan files as Borrowers or Prospects by marketing the respective box. When finished, click Save to finalize your automatic export to Calyx Point.

Note: Calyx Point does not currently refresh its list of borrower and prospect files when you run it. While XSites Desktop will automatically export the files into your Calyx installation, when you start Calyx, you will need to click File, Rebuild List... before it will show up in a search for a borrower or prospect file. | ||
