Tagging SureDocs
To collect signatures electronically, SureDocs has to know exactly where to
place each signature. In the same way that paper forms use signature lines to
indicate proper signature placement, SureDocs requires a signature tag for each
necessary signature. If desired, you can also request initials and dates
throughout the document or collect missing information on-the-fly as your
signers apply their signatures.
There are several ways you can place signature, initial, and form tags:
- Automatically place signature tags -
SureDocs automatically recognizes most forms printed from the major LOS
systems in circulation.
- Use document templates - For
situations where you need signatures on a document that SureDocs doesn't
recognize, you can set up the signature locations for that document once and
then just load the appropriate template when it's time to apply appropriate
signatures to that type of document.
- Manually place each tag - On
occasions, it may be necessary to manually place signature and initial tags on
your documents. And, when necessary, you can place labels and text fields onto
your document for your client to fill out during the signing process.
- Place the tags in groups - Grab a
block of related signature tags and place them all simultaneously.
- Automatically place initial tags - If you
simply want initials on every page of a SureDoc, you can use SureDocs' auto
placement tool to flag each page for initials.
