Your online loan app manager further streamlines your process by making it
easy to order and manage appraisals for your loans. When placing a new
appraisal order, information from the loan application automatically transfers
into the appraisal order. So, in just a few clicks you can find an
appraiser and place the order. Your online 1003 ties you into the largest
group of technically proficient appraisers that have the same priorities you
do: using technology to streamline the mortgage process. To place an
appraisal order directly from a loan app...
- From the loan app manager, find and click to
select the app for which you wish to place an appraisal order.
- While viewing details for a loan application, click the
Vendors tab.

- Click New Order in the Appraisal section
and then choose New Appraisal Order to place an order
electronically.
- Enter as much information you can. This helps the appraiser process
the order and reduces the chances of you playing phone tag.
- Then, scroll down and click Next to choose an appraiser
for the job.

- If you already have a fee panel set up, those names will be
displayed. If not:
- Click the Suggested button to display a list of
appraisers who have indicated they cover the area including your property.
- Click Closest to see the 100 appraisers who are
physically located closest to the property.
- Click Search and locate an appraiser as you would in
the phone book.
- From any of the lists, click the appraiser's name to view their typical
fees and other pertinent information.
- Once you've found an appraiser for the assignment, click the
Select button associated with their record.
- Finally, you're presented with an order summary screen. After
verifying the information, scroll down and click Send Order.
The appraiser is then sent an appraisal order via e-mail with instructions on
how to acknowledge and complete it online. By default, the appraiser has
24 hours to respond. Just like your loan application process,
status items can be sent throughout the process.
Alternately, if you wish to fax or e-mail an order to a preferred appraiser
not using the XSites Network:
- While viewing details for a loan application, click the
Vendors tab.
- Click New Order in the Appraisal section
and then choose DirectFax Order to place an order by e-mail.
- Fill out as much information as possible in the order form that appears
and click Send E-mail when finished.
- Add an e-mail address, subject and message body before clicking
Send.
- The recipient gets a PDF attached to an e-mail message with instructions
on how to send back the completed order. They simply print the PDF, fill
out any additional information and fax it back when finished.
When the appraisal is completed, you're naturally updated via e-mail, and
you're able to see it in when you click Manage Documents from
the Status tab of the application details.
