As you create new user accounts and profiles for the members of your staff to
use in your site, you should give great care to distributing access rights
inside your site. By limiting access rights to just those members of your team
that absolutely need them, you secure your website against both accidental and
intentional damage. To grant or limit access privileges for any user account in
your site...
- Open a user account and then scroll down
to the User Privileges section.
- Check the box beside each permission to grant access to each feature or
remove the check beside a box to revoke access. Permissions include:
- Wizard - When checked, this gives the user permission
to edit the look, feel, and content of your site.
- XSellerate - If you own a copy of our XSellerate
marketing system, checking this box flags this user as your dedicated
marketing coordinator. By checking this box, you remove XSellerate
permissions from another user account in order to grant it to the current
user.
- User Management - By default, users can only manage
their own user accounts and profiles. By checking this box you flag
the user as an administrative user who can access and update all user
accounts and profiles.
- Real Estate Agent View Only - If you have close
partnerships with local real estate agents and would like to give them
access to your site so they can view an entire list of loans they've
referred to you and their current status, check this box to do so. Since
this account privilege dedicates the profile to an agent, the agent will NOT
have access to your site's administrative tools, but ONLY to a list of
referred loans and their statuses.

Hint: This is a great way to eliminate
those status callbacks from realtors. Just create profiles for
realtors whom you work closely with and grant them only this
permission. From that point on, they can log into your site
admin and view the status of any loan apps that apply to them. |
