Installing Mercury Desktop

Mercury Desktop will allow you to accept, manage, and deliver appraisals directly from your appraisal formfilling software.

This document will show you how to install Mercury Desktop on your system.

Which software do you use?

 

 

Mercury DesktopMercury Desktop builds on technology that's helped appraisers deliver tens of millions of reports since 2002. Mercury Desktop's plugins have been rebuilt to use newer, more efficient web technology than those of its decade-old predecessor, XSite Order Manager (XSOM.)

Not all of the plugins found in XSOM have been built for Mercury Desktop - at least not yet. That's why we recommend that you use XSOM's existing plugins alongside Mercury Desktop's plugins. If you're trying to deliver an appraisal using a plugin that Mercury Desktop doesn't have, no problem: XSOM will step in and handle the delivery, and you won't notice a thing. Soon, all plugins will be available in Mercury Desktop, and XSOM will no longer be needed.
