Javascript Connection Failed When Logging into an XSite
Document 7000
Revised 5/25/2007 LD1

If you receive a "Javascript connection failed" error when logging into your XSite, your installation of Adobe Flash Player has become corrupt. To repair this error, you just need to reinstall Adobe Flash Player.

When you try to log into your XSite, you receive a Javascript Connection Error.

To reinstall Adobe Flash Player...

  1. Click Start, Control Panel (or Start, Settings, Control Panel if it doesn't appear in the main menu.)
  2. Find and double-click Add/Remove Programs in the list. If you're using Windows Vista, just click the Uninstall a program link in the Programs section instead.
  3. Scroll down the list of programs that appears and find Macromedia (or Adobe) Flash Player.
  4. Click it and click Change/Remove to remove it from your computer or, if you're using Windows Vista, click to select the program and then click Uninstall in the top toolbar.

Note: If Macromedia/Adobe Flash Player does not appear in the list, you will need to uninstall the program manually. To do so, download the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller from their website and run it to uninstall Flash Player.

  5. Once the uninstallation is complete, close all open windows and download the Flash Player installer from Adobe's website.
  6. Complete the installation using the wizard and restart your computer.

Try logging into your XSite again. You'll no longer receive the error message.
