Upgrading to a new laptop or desktop computer is a pain — but getting back to business with TOTAL doesn't have to be. Review the resources below to get started.

1 — Decide which hardware to buy

We've compiled a comprehensive eBook with recommendations for everything you might want to upgrade in your office, including mobile devices, laptop computers, desktop computers, and accessories. Click here to download it as a PDF.

If you can't download the PDF, click here to view an outline of our minimum and suggested system specifications.

Finally, if you're shopping online, Newegg.com and Amazon.com are great places to start. These sites let you read reviews from other folks who have bought the hardware you're considering, which helps you make an educated purchase you can feel confident about.

2 — Set up TOTAL

3 — Configure your antivirus

Even the best antivirus can block legitimate Internet traffic (such as when you attempt to download a flood map from InterFlood), or even quarantine TOTAL's system files in what's called a "false positive."  Click here to learn how to configure most antivirus programs so that they won't interfere with TOTAL.
