If you only want to move your QuickLists from one installation of TOTAL to another, follow the instructions below.

To complete the steps in this document, you need a removable storage device such as a USB flash drive or an external hard drive.

Back up your QuickLists

  1. Connect your removable storage device to the computer where your QuickLists are stored.
  2. On your keyboard, press Windows Key + R.
For Mac users: since you don't have a Windows Key, open TOTAL and click Help in the top, left corner then, select Tech Support Assistant. Now, skip to step 4.

  3. In the Open: field, type %tsa6% and click OK to open the Tech Support Assistant.

    %tsa6%

  4. In the top left, click the Common Paths tab.

  5. Click the Open button to the right of Data Files.

  6. In the window that opens, locate the Quicklists folder. Right‑click folder and choose Copy.

If you want to move just one user's personal QuickLists instead, double‑click on the Quicklists folder to view subfolders for individual users. Here you can copy the folder which belongs to the exact user you want.
  7. Now, browse to your removable storage device. Right‑click and Paste your Quicklists folder.

Once the transfer process is complete, connect the removable storage device to your new computer and continue with the instructions below.

Move your QuickLists

  1. Browse to your removable storage device. Then, right‑click and Copy the Quicklists folder.
  2. On your keyboard, press Windows Key + R.
For Mac users: since you don't have a Windows Key, open TOTAL and click Help in the top, left corner then, select Tech Support Assistant. Now, skip to step 4.

  4. In the top left, click the Common Paths tab.

  5. Click the Open button to the right of Data Files.

  6. If you copied your entire Quicklists folder, right‑click in an empty space in the window that appears — not inside the Quicklists folder — and choose Paste.

If you copied just one user's personal QuickLists, double‑click on the Quicklists folder to open it. Then, right‑click in an empty space and choose Paste.
