While you can always manually select the names of each agent to which you
wish to send your mobile broadcast message, it's often more effective to
organize your agents into contact groups. This allows you to save time when
sending your mobile broadcasts and helps you narrow your message to exactly the
intended audience all at the same time. To create SMS broadcast groups...
- From your XSite's mobile broadcast
tools, click Broadcast Groups in the Mobile
Broadcast pane on the left.
- In the screen that appears, click Create a New Group.
- Type a name for your new SMS group into the Group Name
box.
- Select the desired type of contacts from the option list. You can include
contacts from all types in your group if desired. Options include:
- Users - If you've added the contact into your XSite's
User Manager, you can quickly find them through this list.
- Groups - If you've already created contact groups in
your XSite's contact manager, you can select contacts by group instead of by
name.
- Contacts - If you have the contact in your XSite's
address book, you can find it in this list.
- Now, add the desired contacts to the group.
- To add a contact select it from the left column and click the green
arrow.
- To remove a contact select it from the right column and click the blue
arrow.
- When finished, click OK to save your new SMS contact
group.
