To delete contacts, in the contact manager, select
either an individual or company from the list and click
Delete.
- You can delete multiple contacts by clicking on one, then holding down the
Ctrl key on your keyboard and clicking more. Or, hold down
the Shift key and click another contact to select these two,
plus all of the contacts in between.
- If you choose to delete a company which has one or more individuals
associated with it, you'll be prompted to either delete these individuals, or
keep them in your database, but remove their affiliation with this company.
Permanently Deleting Contacts
When you delete a contact using this method, it's actually placed into a
"holding area." This allows you to retrieve deleted contacts in case you make a
mistake. To permanently remove a contact from your database...
- In the contact manager, click the
View menu and then select Deleted Contacts.
- Select the contacts you want to purge from your database and click
Delete.

Note: Any contact which has orders associated
with it in your system can not be permanently deleted from your site. |

Restoring Deleted Contacts
To restore any contacts you've mistakenly deleted...
- In the contact manager, click the
View menu and select Deleted Contacts.
- Select any contact from the list.
- Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and click each
of the contacts you want to restore
- Or, hold down the Shift key and click the top and
bottom contact in a sequential range to select the entire group of contacts
in between.
- Click Restore to restore your contacts.
