There are two kinds of contacts you can add to your database: Individuals and
Companies. Of course, any individual can be associated with a company,
eliminating the need to retype information like the office address and phone
number.
In addition, each individual can have other attributes:
- Type of Contact - This designation is critical to using
your contacts to track your business - particularly if you're using your XSite
in conjunction with a la mode's appraisal formfilling application, WinTOTAL.
For example, only those contacts marked as "Appraiser" appear in the
pop-up menus for the Appraiser and Supervisor fields in WinTOTAL's order
forms. Also, only those contacts designated as clients or lenders appear in
the Creating Client Specific Fee
Lists section of the Business
Management tools.

Note: When an individual is associated with
a company, the Type of Contact (Appraiser, Client, Lender, etc.) applied
to that company is automatically assigned to the individual as well. |

- Public Contacts - For every company and individual in
your database, you have the option of designating the contact as
Public by selecting the check box at the top of the
Client Details screen. Public contacts can be viewed by
anybody with a User Account on your site.
