To give you the best experience in the field, Pocket TOTAL provides an
editable list of favorite fields called “critical fields.” Using critical
fields, you can set up your electronic checklist using the fields from your
favorite forms. To define your Pocket TOTAL critical fields…
- From the Pocket PowerView of the Appraisal Desktop, click Critical
Fields Editor in the Configure Pocket TOTAL section.
- In the Critical Fields Editor, click File, Open
Form and select a form in which you want to set up your critical
fields.
- Click OK to open the form.
- WinTOTAL opens the form in Pocket TOTAL’s semblance. Use the
Sections pane on the right to navigate out to the form
section you want to customize.\
- Once you’ve arrived at a section you wish to customize, click to mark each
field you want to mark as critical. Each field you mark as critical
takes on a green coloration to indicate that it’s a critical field. Blue
fields are non-critical fields. In addition, you can use the
Fields menu to help you customize the fields in your form.
- To revert the critical fields to factory defaults, click Restore
Defaults
- To mark or clear all the fields in the current section of the form,
click Clear/Select all Fields in Section
- To mark or clear all the fields in the entire form, click
Clear/Select all Fields in Form
- When finished, click File, Save Form to
save your changes.
Repeat this process for each form you plan to use in the field. Then,
when you’re in the field, you can set Pocket TOTAL to cycle through all of your
critical fields so that you know you’ve collected all of the essential data
before you leave. For more details on using Pocket TOTAL, see the Pocket TOTAL
user’s guide.
