As you edit your sketch, it may be necessary to zoom in on a particular
portion of the sketch so that you can fine tune it. TOTAL Sketch provides three
different ways to help you adjust the on screen view of your sketch: zooming,
panning, and automatic fitting.
- Zooming - In a sketch,
you can zoom in our out of your sketch by clicking the Zoom
In or Zoom Out buttons
in
the top toolbar respectively. Alternately, you can press Ctrl
+ on your keyboard to zoom in or Ctrl - on your
keyboard to zoom out. In addition, if your mouse has a scroll wheel, you can
scroll up on the mouse wheel to zoom in or scroll down to zoom out quickly.
- Panning - In a sketch,
you can pan to a specific part of your sketch at the current zoom level by
clicking the Pan button
in the top toolbar. Then, click and
hold your mouse button and move the mouse around to pan around the sketch.
Once you're satisfied with the "sketch window" you've panned to, simply
release the mouse button.
- Automatic Fitting - If you simply need to adjust the zoom
and pan of the sketch window so that it depicts your entire sketch, click the
Fit Sketch to Screen button
in the
main toolbar or simply press C on your keyboard.

Note: Zooming, panning, and fitting
your sketch onto your screen in TOTAL Sketch only affects your view of the
sketch, not the actual scale of the sketch in your report. TOTAL Sketch
automatically scales your sketch to fit correctly into your report. No
manual scaling is required. |
