Cloning an area in DaVinci is as simple as copying and pasting the area or a
portion of an area into your sketch. To clone an area in DaVinci...
- In a sketch, click the
Modify button in the main toolbar.
- Now, select the item(s) you wish to clone.
- To select the entire area - Click an area off to the
upper left of the area and drag your cursor (while holding the click) to
form a blue selection rectangle that includes all of the items you wish to
select. When you release the mouse button DaVinci selects all items
contained within the blue selection region you created.
- To select only part of an area - Hold down the
Ctrl key on your keyboard and click each line you wish to
include in the clone.
- Click the Copy icon in the main toolbar to copy the area.
Then, click Paste in the main toolbar to paste it back into
your sketch.
- Move the area to the desired location
and draw any adjustments or additions to the area that are required (such as
for a second floor).
- Double-click the area label to edit the area
definition and adjust it accordingly.
